Seventh Box Productions is a small team of video producers and editors based in Newcastle.
Josephine Asher – founder of Seventh Box Productions – is a videographer, video journalist and multimedia producer.
After studying journalism, she began her career in 2003 at Courier Newspapers in Sydney, writing news and lifestyle stories for The Wentworth Courier, Inner West Courier and Southern Courier.
She was offered a full journalism cadetship at NineMSN in 2007, where she also worked as Associate Producer for three years and learned all aspects of multimedia journalism including video and online production.
She has also worked as Video and Multimedia Producer for The Daily Telegraph, The Australian, Newscorp, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and also as chief of staff in the busy Network Ten newsroom in Pyrmont.
She has completed multiple courses in video production and editing, including a BBC Video Journalism course, Final Cut Pro, Motion 4, and Apple-certified training in Adobe Premiere Pro (Advanced) and Adobe AfterEffects (Advanced).
In 2012, Josephine merged her diverse range of multimedia skills into her new business, Seventh Box Productions, with a small team based in Sydney – and moved to Newcastle in 2017.
Seventh Box Productions focuses on video production and responsive website design. Clients include Qantas, GE, The Australian, CareerOne, Newcastle University, Two Men and a Truck, Family Business Australia and many small businesses.
